Prime Khal is a factory world. When the native humans' pollution darkened the sun and poisoned the land, they repurposed the mass of their moons to build two artificial planets at L4 and L5. Eden Khal is a resort world and home of the sector's wealthy and elite. Green Khal is an agricultural world that provides most of the food for the sector.
The wealth disparity of the system has led to thriving crime. Eden Khal -- the sector capital -- is a corrupt oligarchy. Prime Khal is run by warring syndicates who carefully export just enough necessary product to ensure it is never worthwhile to hunt them down. On the surface, Green Khal is the exception: a solar-punk utopia that learned the lessons of Prime, and found a better path.
Notable Places
Lyria: This gas giant is surrounded by artificial stations and stellar engineering works as part of an artificial stellification process. Progress ground to a halt due to bureaucratic red tape, but the dream lives on in the minds of resident engineers.
Uriel's Belt: The outer asteroid ring is a Wild West of unregulated and unregulatable mining activity, supplying both the planetary industries and the Lyria Project.
Azezul's Belt: Experimental microbial mining techniques in this region mutated out of control. The asteroid belt is now extremely hazardous due to giant mutant space fauna.

Built on the inner surface of a rotating cylinder, the Eden Khal city-station is the luxurious sector capital. The tightly policed society functions as an elite gated community, providing House Malklaith and their allies a sheltered home. However, the complete lack of raw resources and manufacturing facilities leaves the station utterly dependant on imports and taxation from the rest of the sector.
Rule: The tight security makes operating on the station extremely difficult. Engagement rolls take -1d, and add 2 Heat.
Scenes
C-Suite executives striking a deal in a boardroom looking outwards from the station into space
A luxurious maglev carriage delivering a well-dressed couple to the opera
Young heirs and heiresses lazily tasting fine liquors imported from beyond the sector
Notables
Governor Ritam al’Malklaith: The sector governor and chief representative of House Malklaith sees himself as a genuine, benevolent ruler striving do do right by his people. His advisors carefully maintain this illusion by ensuring he never makes any significant decisions. (noble, well-spoken, clueless)
Alonzo Sottorani: A famed playwrite on the lookout for a new muse. (flamboyant, self-important, drunk)
Prime Minister Dirk al'Malklaith: The power behind the throne is Ritam's nephew, Dirk. Heir to the governorship of a much more significant sector, Dirk has been stationed here by his father to learn how to rule, and to keep Ritam in check. (competent, arrogant, miserable)

Prime Khal is a smog-covered industrial site the size of a planet. All that rises out of the perpetual smoke is the space elevator leading to the export platform. Post-uplift manufacturing techniques do not need to produce smog, but the Cobalt Syndicate ensures it is continuously produced, as it interferes with orbital scanning.
Rule: Any operation on Prime Khal will draw the attention and wrath of the Cobalt Syndicate.
Scenes
A mugging in progress, actively ignored by passers by
Skilled roboticist performing the final touches on a new drone
Kids playing bandits on a warehouse rooftop; inside two gangs drawing their weapons
Notables
Jax: The only thing the leader of the Cobalt Syndicate would like less than running the gang is someone else running the gang. His decision-making criteria is to choose the path that lets him kill the most people. (cold, killer, arrogant)
Professor McT: A famous cybernetics expert who vanished from public life mysteriously is rumoured to live here, providing medical aid to the most impoverished. (genius, burdened with guilt, curious)
SigNULL Once a notorious hacker, in his old age and failing health SigNULL has moved in with his family, who work hard to manage his paranoia. He is always keen for one last job, if you can get past his carers. (aging, paranoid, well-informed)

Green Khal is an engineered garden with a carefully regulated climate, including genetically engineered pollinator bees and colossal Khal Blossom Trees. The pollen of the Blossom trees induces a baseline state of euphoria, strengthens human immune responses, and increases the yield of other crops.
Rule: The atmospheric spores make everyone -- friend or foe -- relaxed and more susceptible to persuasion, trickery, honesty, and forgiveness.
Scenes
Farmers in bright clothing laugh and dance through an orchard, lost in the joy of their work
A vast crowd celebrating the solstice at a perfectly engineered stone circle
Cobalt Syndicate agents farm narcotics for export, ignored by locals who simply don't mind
Notables
The Green Mother: A mystic starting a new religion worshipping the harvest god. She and her followers are unconcerned by the human involvement in the creation of the world or the changing of the seasons, as they consider this an act of worship. (joyful, psychic, hippie)
Lucian al'Malklaith The governor's son routinely escapes to Green Khal to avoid his responsibilities and duties. (irresponsible, entitled, naive)
